Robin Baby in your AI assistant

Log your baby's feeds, sleep and diapers just by saying it, and ask anything about their day, from the AI assistant you already use. Everything lands in the same history as the Robin Baby app.

What you can do

  • Log as it happens. Bottles, nursing, pumping, solid food, sleep and naps, diapers, milestones, crying, notes, and what you ate while nursing.
  • Fix mistakes. "Actually that was 5 oz" corrects the last entry, and "undo that" removes it. Older entries can be corrected too, and you see exactly what will change first.
  • Ask about the day. Totals, averages, comparisons between weeks, streaks, longest and shortest, and night wake-ups.
  • Plan around naps. Ask when the next nap is likely and get a window based on your baby's own logged pattern, or on age-typical wake windows until there's enough history.
  • Share the load. Ask for an invite code so a partner, grandparent or nanny can log to the same baby.

Example prompts

  • "Log a 4 oz bottle 10 minutes ago"
  • "She just fell asleep"
  • "Wet diaper just now"
  • "Actually, make that bottle 5 oz"
  • "How did he sleep last night?"
  • "When is her next nap likely?"
  • "How much has she eaten today?"
  • "Is he drinking more than last week?"
  • "Break down this week's diapers by type"
  • "Give me an invite code for my partner"

Connect it in Claude

Works in Claude on the web, the desktop app and the mobile apps.

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, search the directory for Robin Baby, and select Connect.
  2. Sign in to your Robin Baby account, choose which child to share, and approve. You land back in Claude, connected.
  3. Ask away, for example "How did she sleep last night?".

If Robin Baby doesn't appear in the directory yet, add it as a custom connector instead: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, enter the server URL https://api.robinbaby.com/mcp, and under the advanced settings enter the OAuth client ID 4ef561ac-ae1b-4144-ae43-065717c3bc7b. Leave the client secret blank; there isn't one.

Connect it in Meta Muse

  1. Start a chat in Muse and ask it to build a custom integration to Robin Baby, with the MCP server URL https://api.robinbaby.com/mcp.
  2. When Muse shows the Robin Baby Connect card and asks for a Client ID, enter 23c73f9e-3129-4ae3-9034-4381de428891. There is no client secret; leave that blank if asked.
  3. Sign in to your Robin Baby account, choose which child to share, and approve.

This client ID identifies the Robin Baby app to Muse. It is not a password and gives no access on its own: nothing can be read until you sign in and approve.

What you need

  • A Robin Baby account with an active subscription or free trial. Download the app by searching "Baby Tracker: Robin" on the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions are only ever billed there, never through an assistant.
  • One child per connection. You choose the child when you connect, and the assistant cannot reach other children or other families.
  • Nap forecasting covers babies from 3 months to 3 years and needs your baby's birthday in the app.

What's not available

Medications, symptoms, temperature, vaccinations and custom events stay in the app. The connector cannot read or write them. Growth measurements, allergen tags, and your child's name, birth date and sex are not available through the connector either; they stay in the app.

Robin Baby is a record for parents. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Nap times are estimates from your baby's own logs, not a schedule they ought to keep.

Permissions and approvals

  • Read tools only look things up. They never change your records.
  • Write tools add, correct or remove records in your baby's history, and each is marked as needing your confirmation so your assistant can check with you first. Corrections to older records are previewed first, and nothing changes until you approve the preview.
  • Invites: invite_baby_caregiver creates a code and gives it to you. It sends nothing to anyone. Someone joins your family, and can then see and log your baby's history, only if you share the code and they enter it in the app. Codes expire after seven days and can be cancelled in the app.
  • Read only. When you connect from Meta Muse, you can tick Read only on the Robin Baby approval screen. Muse can then answer questions about your baby's history but cannot log, change or delete anything, and cannot create invites. To allow logging later, email hello@robinbaby.com.

Disconnecting

Disconnect at any time from your assistant's connector settings. The assistant then stops calling Robin Baby, and the short-lived access token it was using expires within an hour. Your records in the app are unaffected. Anything the assistant already showed you stays in that conversation under the assistant's own settings, so delete the conversation there too if you want it gone.

Privacy

When you use the connector, the records it reads travel to the assistant's operator because you are using their product, and they handle them under your account with them. The Privacy Policy lists exactly which fields are shared, what is withheld, and your rights.

Technical reference

  • Protocol: remote MCP server, Streamable HTTP, stateless
  • MCP URL: https://api.robinbaby.com/mcp
  • Auth: OAuth 2.1 authorization code with PKCE (S256). Unauthenticated requests get 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header pointing at the resource metadata.
  • Protected resource metadata: https://api.robinbaby.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp
  • Scopes: openid profile. Write access is not a separate scope: it is stored per connection and checked on every write, on the server and again in the database.
  • Rate limits: 30 tool calls per minute per connection, 60 per minute per user, and 120 MCP requests per minute per user. Over the limit, a tool call returns rate_limited with retry_after_seconds, and HTTP-level limits answer 429 with a Retry-After header.
  • Data retention: the connector keeps no separate copy of your baby's history. It reads and writes the same records as the app, kept as described in section 9 of the Privacy Policy.

Responses

Every tool returns JSON in structuredContent. Success is { ok: true, data }. A failure sets isError: true and returns { ok: false, error: { code, message, retryable, details? } }. The message is written to be shown to the parent.
